TDAC — Thailand Digital Arrival Card
The digital arrival declaration that replaced the paper TM.6 card for foreign nationals entering Thailand by air, sea, or land. Mandatory from 1 May 2025 (B.E. 2568 (2025)) for all non-Thai arrivals other than those exempted by specific Ministerial Regulation.
When Used
TDAC must be completed within 72 hours before arrival in Thailand by every foreign national (regardless of visa class) entering at any port of entry. Thai nationals are exempt. The submission generates a confirmation QR code which the foreigner shows to the Immigration officer on landing alongside the passport; the officer scans the QR code and the entry stamp is applied. Transit passengers who do not pass through Immigration do not need a TDAC. Crews of vessels and aircraft are covered by separate manifests.
Who Files
The foreign traveller personally, before arrival. Family members can be submitted in a single submission. Travel agents and airlines often offer assisted submission, but the data is the traveller's responsibility.
Fee & Logistics
Free. There is no official fee. Beware third-party websites charging for TDAC submission — they are scams.
Immediate; QR code generated on submission.
Online only, via the official Immigration Bureau portal tdac.immigration.go.th. No paper version is available.

Common Mistakes
- Submitting more than 72 hours before arrival — submissions outside the window are rejected and must be redone.
- Using third-party 'TDAC service' websites that charge a fee — the official portal is free.
- Mistyping the passport number — even one wrong character will cause Immigration to flag the entry.
- Listing 'TBD' or 'will decide on arrival' as the address — the address field must be a real location.
Legal Basis
Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979), Section 18; Ministerial Regulation B.E. 2568 (2025) implementing the digital arrival regime; Notification of the Immigration Bureau dated 1 May 2025.
Penalty for Non-Compliance
Failure to submit a TDAC before arrival results in delays at the border, potential refusal of entry, and in serious cases a fine of up to THB 2,000 for false or incomplete information (Section 75).
