Anti-Corruption Act Section 176 — Offence: giving a bribe, including to foreign and international officials
Organic Act on Counter Corruption (พระราชบัญญัติประกอบรัฐธรรมนูญว่าด้วยการป้องกันและปราบปรามการทุจริต) — Section 176.
Plain-English Summary
A person who gives, asks to give or promises to give property or any other benefit to a state official, foreign public official or international-organisation official to induce them to act, not act or delay an act contrary to their duty is liable to imprisonment not exceeding five years, or a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand baht, or both. If the offender is connected with a juristic person and acts for its benefit, and the juristic person has no appropriate internal controls to prevent the offence, the juristic person itself commits the offence and is liable to a fine of one to two times the damage caused or the benefit obtained. This covers juristic persons established under Thai law and foreign juristic persons that carry on business in Thailand. Section 140 extends Sections 172 to 177 to acts committed outside the Kingdom by, or against, a Thai national or state official.

Organic Act on Counter Corruption
พระราชบัญญัติประกอบรัฐธรรมนูญว่าด้วยการป้องกันและปราบปรามการทุจริต · B.E. 2561 (2018)
The Organic Act on Counter Corruption B.E. 2561 (2018) is the organic law that governs the structure, powers and procedures of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC): its nine-member composition and qualifications, its powers to investigate state officials and political office holders, the duty of designated officials to file accounts of assets and liabilities, the unusual-wealth procedure under which assets can be forfeited to the State by court order, and the offences and penalties for corruption in office and bribery, including bribery of foreign and international officials. It re-enacts the organic law and replaced the Organic Act on Counter Corruption B.E. 2542 (1999); the NACC investigates and refers cases to the Attorney General for prosecution.
