Anti-Corruption Act Section 131 — Protection of complainants, witnesses and informants
Organic Act on Counter Corruption (พระราชบัญญัติประกอบรัฐธรรมนูญว่าด้วยการป้องกันและปราบปรามการทุจริต) — Section 131.
Plain-English Summary
Where the NACC considers a case warrants it, it provides protection and assistance to accusers, injured parties, petitioners, witnesses and persons who report tips or information, applying the witness-protection law in criminal cases with the necessary changes and treating the Minister's powers under that law as NACC powers. The person must consent first. A protected person who — or whose spouse, ascendants, descendants or close person — is harmed by an intentional criminal act arising from the report or testimony may apply to the NACC for compensation. Where the person is a state official whose assistance is of great benefit, the NACC may propose to the Cabinet a special salary increment and advancement in rank. Section 132 (as amended by Act No. 2 B.E. 2568 (2025)) gives good-faith informants immunity from civil, criminal and disciplinary liability for what they report.

Organic Act on Counter Corruption
พระราชบัญญัติประกอบรัฐธรรมนูญว่าด้วยการป้องกันและปราบปรามการทุจริต · B.E. 2561 (2018)
The Organic Act on Counter Corruption B.E. 2561 (2018) is the organic law that governs the structure, powers and procedures of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC): its nine-member composition and qualifications, its powers to investigate state officials and political office holders, the duty of designated officials to file accounts of assets and liabilities, the unusual-wealth procedure under which assets can be forfeited to the State by court order, and the offences and penalties for corruption in office and bribery, including bribery of foreign and international officials. It re-enacts the organic law and replaced the Organic Act on Counter Corruption B.E. 2542 (1999); the NACC investigates and refers cases to the Attorney General for prosecution.
