How It Works
Scammer deliberately cuts in front of your vehicle and brakes suddenly
Or pedestrian steps in front of your slow-moving vehicle and falls theatrically
Scammer or 'witnesses' demand immediate cash compensation
If you refuse, they threaten to call police (knowing foreigners want to avoid police involvement)
Sometimes an 'off-duty officer' appears to pressure payment
Warning Signs
The 'victim' shows no visible injuries but claims serious harm
'Witnesses' appear immediately and all support the other party
Demand for cash payment on the spot (not insurance)
