When to Use
When you own any assets in Thailand (bank accounts, condominiums, vehicles, investments) and want to ensure they pass to your chosen beneficiaries. Essential for foreigners — without a Thai will, Thai succession law applies and the process is lengthy.
Key Clauses
Testator Declaration
Clear statement of identity, nationality, and that this is your last will for Thai assets.
Revocation of Prior Wills
Explicitly revoke any previous Thai wills. State this will is specifically for Thai assets if you have wills in other countries.
Asset Schedule
Detailed list of all Thai assets — bank accounts, property, vehicles, investments — with identification numbers.
Beneficiary Designations
Clear identification of each beneficiary with full name, relationship, and identification details.
Executor Appointment
Appoint a trusted executor to manage the estate. Consider appointing a Thai-resident person for practicality.
Guardian Appointment (if applicable)

Thai wills require 2 witnesses who must sign in the presence of the testator.
Warnings
A Thai Will MUST be signed by the testator in the presence of 2 witnesses — otherwise it is void.
A foreign Will may cover Thai assets but is much harder and slower to enforce in Thai courts.
Thai succession law does NOT recognize disinheritance of statutory heirs without legal grounds.
If you have assets in multiple countries, create SEPARATE wills for each jurisdiction.
Regularly update your will — especially after marriage, divorce, birth of children, or property changes.
