    When To Visit

Visit Chaengwattana for almost any in-person immigration matter relating to a foreigner registered in Bangkok — visa extensions (retirement, marriage, business, education), change of visa type, re-entry permits, Certificate of Residence and walk-in 90-day reporting. Practical Notes

Arrive by 07:30 on the first and last working day of the month — queues for 90-day reporting and retirement extensions are at their worst. Bring originals plus two photocopies of every supporting document.

This entry summarises practical visit details for a Thai government office as a starting point. Office hours, phone extensions, queue policies and procedural requirements change without notice — always verify with the issuing authority before travelling. Educational use only; not a substitute for advice from a Thai-qualified lawyer, accountant, or licensed agent.
