• Türkiye applies e-Visa to most nationalities; Thai nationals should check current eligibility on evisa.gov.tr

• Türkiye and Thailand are both party to the Hague Apostille Convention — apostille rather than legalisation usually applies

• Marriage registration for Turkish citizens abroad uses the MERNIS system — bring legalised Thai marriage certificate translated into Turkish

• Country name officially updated to 'Türkiye' at the UN in 2022 — embassy uses both 'Turkey' and 'Türkiye' in practice

• Appointment via the e-Konsolosluk online system
