Elements of the Offence
For a conviction, the prosecution must prove all of the following elements beyond reasonable doubt:
Threat to cause harm to person, property, or reputation
Demand for property, benefit, or action
Causal connection between threat and victim's compliance
Intent to obtain benefit or cause victim to act
