🇪🇸 Thai Law vs Spanish Law: Key Differences
Comparing Thai and Spanish legal systems — relevant for Spanish nationals living, working, or retiring in Thailand.
Spain uses a civil law system based on the Código Civil of 1889, supplemented by regional civil codes (Catalan, Aragonese, Basque, Navarrese, Galician, Balearic) and EU law. Thailand uses a uniform civil law system with no regional variations. Both are codified jurisdictions but differ on federalism and EU integration.
