🇵🇰 Thai Law vs Pakistani Law: Key Differences

Comparing Thai and Pakistani legal systems — relevant for Pakistani nationals visiting, working, or doing business in Thailand.

    Updated:

Pakistan's legal system is a hybrid of Anglo-Pakistani common law inherited from British India, Islamic law (Sharia) under the Hudood Ordinances and Islamisation programme since 1979, and a federal constitutional framework. Thailand uses a unitary civil law system with no religious personal-status courts (with limited exceptions for Thai Muslims in the Deep South).
