Common Mistakes to Avoid
Not checking if your nationality is eligible — some nationalities are excluded.
Underestimating processing time — initial approval takes 2-4 weeks, full processing up to 6 weeks.
Not budgeting for the membership fee — packages range from THB 600,000 to THB 2,000,000+.
Assuming Elite visa includes work permission — it does NOT. You still need a work permit for employment.
Forgetting annual check-in requirements — members must report to immigration every 90 days like other visa holders.
Helpful Tips
The Elite Easy Access package (THB 600,000 for 5 years) is the most popular entry-level option.
Elite visa holders get VIP airport services including fast-track immigration and limousine transfers.
Membership can be cancelled with partial refund in the first few years — check refund terms.
Elite visa does NOT exempt you from 90-day reporting — but Thailand Privilege assists with this.
Consider the tax implications — residing 180+ days makes you a Thai tax resident.
